I AM WAY EXCITED FOR THE NEW YEAR.. and I hope you are, too. There is so much to do and so little time. Whether it be going to the gym daily, or writing in a journal, spending less time on social media.. We can start to stack TONS OF GOALS on ourselves, and then we get discouraged when it doesn't work out. Just remember.. keep trying! If you have righteous goals, seek guidance from the Lord. He will help you. Also, we aren't perfect.. so DO NOT be hard on yourself. The new year can freak some of us out, but really.. it should be a happy time where we know we are at least TRYING to do something.
SO, I AM UPLOADING A BLOG POST EVERY WEEK DAY THIS WEEK about different kinds of goals. Get excited.
OKAY....... the daunting task of having a healthy lifestyle. WHOOO. I am struggling. I admit that I resorted to the "New Year" being classified as January 4.. after the weekend. LOL. I want everyone to realize that eating right and getting some exercise is about making A HAPPY LIFESTYLE. This isn't about cutting out every single "bad thing" and calling it a "diet". Can we all agree? "Diets" just sound horrible and they don't last. They can't last. WHAT WE ARE ABOUT.. is making healthy choices that we want to keep and to continue to do forever.
THE BASICS OF WHAT I AM DOING... 1. Drink water constantly. Keep yourself hydrated with at least 64 ounces a day. 2. Eat more vegetables! 3. No seconds..... make sure to be having healthy snacks through out the day, instead of just gorging at the main meals. 4. Eat less starchy carbs. 5. Understand that if you have a cookie earlier, you shouldn't have another one later. LOL. So, this is my basic idea of how I am TRYING to eat healthy. It's not easy, but it matters.. and it's worth it. I think the biggest thing for me is making a CONSCIENCE decision every single day of what I want to achieve. Take it day by day.. plan your snacks and meals. You can do it. We can be on this adventure together. WOW. I sound like a life coach.
When it comes to fitness........ I do have a membership at the gym. So, my goal right now is to go to the gym at least 3 days a week. ALSO, I am hoping to do more hikes.. because the world is beautiful. And even I am allergic to nature, I should get out more. Hahah.
If anybody knows who Shay Carl is.. he is one of the most famous YouTubers ever, who co-found Makers Studios (which is now owned by Disney). He is Mormon and lives up in Idaho. ANYWAYS.. Shay just wrote a book with his son, Gavin.. called Fat Dad Fat Kid, BUT TRUST ME.. it's awesome. The book is all about fitness and these healthy habits that I am talking about. Along with the book, they are uploading every day in January on the ShayLoss YouTube channel. They show you and do with you very simple exercises that take five minutes every day.
